What's the differnce between TESTS and QUIZZES?

I DON'T GET IT, WHAT'S SO DIFFERENT BETWEEN A TEST AND QUIZ? FOR SOME REASON THE WORD "TEST" SOUNDS MORE THREATENING THAN "QUIZ"!



What's the differnce between TESTS and QUIZZES?

A Test serves to assess or measure students' performance, knowledge or skills



A quiz is a form of game or mind sport in which the players (as individuals or in teams), attempt to answer questions correctly.



What's the differnce between TESTS and QUIZZES?

quiz focuses on 1 or 2 small areas while a test focuses on broader areas



What's the differnce between TESTS and QUIZZES?

Tests are summative evaluations. I use quizzes to get students focused on what they should have learned.



What's the differnce between TESTS and QUIZZES?

The difference is Quiz is to see how much you know, and a test is a mark that you can put on the report card.



What's the differnce between TESTS and QUIZZES?

The Quiz is more specific, and it is usually multiple choice. Tests are broader, they can include different types of questions or activities/tasks.



Both are assessment instruments that serve different purposes.
